On February 20th, 2024, the Chicago Public Library - West Lawn Branch was graced by the Guitar Duo Hermelindo Ruiz from Puerto Rico and Samuel Diz from Spain, transforming it into a sanctuary of classical beauty.

Their performance not only transported us to Puerto Rico and Spain but also provided a captivating history lesson through music. It was wonderful to see people from different communities, including some new friends from Aurora and the diasporas of San Sebastian, Puerto Rico, coming together to appreciate the universal language of music.

We want to extend our deepest gratitude to everyone who joined us, illuminating our Tuesday evening and enriching our community. Special thanks to those who helped clean up afterward. It was a delight to see so many attendees taking the time to assist us in leaving the library space as it was before. Thank you!
