September 21st 2024 - Kaia String Quartet

We are thrilled to share the highlights from our incredible season-opening concert on Saturday, September 21st, featuring the talented KAIA String Quartet. This performance beautifully showcased the rich musical traditions of Latin America and Spain, making it a perfect celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month.

The concert was not only masterfully performed, but it also provided audiences with fascinating insights into each piece. One fun fact we learned: the legendary Astor Piazzolla had a daredevil streak—he had a thing for fishing for sharks! Who knew?!

It was particularly heartwarming to see parents bring their little ones to experience this delightful style of music. We were proud to hear how welcomed and comfortable families felt, knowing that they have a space where both adults and children can enjoy world-class performances together.

We want to thank Anna Murphy a Fine Arts and Muralist artist who is currently painting a mural nearby, we invited her to come up to talk about the beautiful work she is doing and to let the community know about the flower painting workshop she will be hosting at the library next month in October.

Thank you to everyone who came out and supported this special evening! We look forward to more memorable performances throughout the season.
